Privacy policy

A clear overview of how personal information submitted through this website is intended to be handled.

Last reviewed:

1. Who this policy covers

This draft applies to Newtown Education Group Pty Ltd, trading as Newtown Media (55 670 509 556), referred to as “Newtown Media”, “we”, “us” or “our”. It covers personal information collected through newtownmediaagency.com and related enquiry, quiz and booking experiences.

We are a small business with annual turnover under $3 million, so the small-business exemption in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) generally applies to us. Even so, we choose to handle personal information in a way that aligns with the Australian Privacy Principles, and we will review this position if our turnover or activities change, or as privacy law reforms take effect.

2. Information we may collect

Depending on how you use the website, we may collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, service interests, marketing goals, budget range, quiz answers, preferred meeting time and the information you include in a message.

Our website host and security services may also process standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring page and request logs. If analytics or advertising tools are enabled, this policy and any consent controls should be updated to identify them accurately.

Please do not submit sensitive information through a general enquiry form unless we specifically ask for it and explain why it is needed.

3. Why we use personal information

We may use personal information to respond to enquiries, prepare a requested audit or roadmap, arrange a strategy call, understand service needs, deliver agreed services, improve the website, protect the website from misuse and meet legal or operational requirements.

We may send marketing communications only where we have an appropriate basis to do so. You can ask us to stop at any time by using the unsubscribe option provided or contacting us.

4. How information is collected

We collect information you provide directly through contact, booking and quiz forms, by email, during calls and through later business communications. We may also receive information from referral partners or publicly available business sources where lawful and relevant.

5. Service providers and disclosure

We share personal information only with providers that help us operate the website and respond to you, and only what each provider needs for its role. The main providers we currently use are Vercel (website hosting), Hostinger (business email) and Resend (delivering enquiry and booking notifications to our inbox). We may also engage professional advisers. We do not currently use customer-relationship-management, scheduling or analytics services; if we add them, we will update this policy.

Some of these providers process or store information outside Australia — for example in the United States (Vercel, Resend) and the European Union (Hostinger). We take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled appropriately, and we do not sell personal information.

6. Storage and security

We take reasonable administrative and technical steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Information should be retained only for as long as it is needed for the purpose collected, or as required by law.

7. Access, correction and deletion requests

You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, or request deletion where applicable. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where the law permits or requires it.

8. Cookies and third-party links

This website uses only technical cookies and similar technologies necessary for its security and operation. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies; if we add them, we will update this policy and provide appropriate notice and consent. Links to third-party websites are governed by those parties’ own privacy practices.

9. Questions and complaints

Questions, access requests or privacy complaints can be sent to connect@newtownmediaagency.com. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 5 business days and to respond within 30 days. If we cannot resolve a complaint, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The current version and review date will be published on this page.
